Manitako Avenue

This was a new townhouse style home with white walls throughout. The new owners wanted to bring a lot of colour into the home.

We went through the colour books and decided on the following.

The guest room and office combined used Porters Paints colour ‘Nude’ to provide a strong warm contrast with the curtains and furnishings.

In the living room we wanted to make sure the TV didn’t dominate so we chose Porters Eggshell Black making the TV almost dissappear when turned off. This elegant finish is fully washable and is ideal for walls where a very subtle sheen level is required.

The master bedroom has a sense of luxury where we used the darkest blue available with a low sheen gloss level providing a strong backdrop to the bed and matching curtains.

The piano was a gift with much sentimental value. Unfortunately with a traditional brown woodgrain it was difficult to fit into a contemporary colour scheme.

I was asked “can we paint it?”…. Sure!

We repainted the piano in the selected wild green colour and finished it with wax to give it lustre! There was a lot of detail repainting this item without getting paint on the red felt and keyboard components.
